FOR ALL CLASSES HAIR MUST BE IN A BUN EXCEPT IF IT IS TOO SHORT AND THEN A HEAD BAND IS REQUIRED TO KEEP THE HAIR FROM GOING INTO THE DANCER’S EYES DURING TURNS ETC.

Ballet is the key to the development of all dancers. Technique developed through ballet training is essential in order to excel in other forms of dance. Ballet classes are mandatory for those seeking to compete in dance. We offer non-syllabus and examination classes through R.A.D., Cecchetti and B.A.T.D.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, pink tights and ballet slippers/Pointe shoes. A ballet warm-up sweater may be worn at the beginning of class. Dance skirts are not allowed.
This highly energetic dynamic class will challenge the dancer by introducing them to a free form of urban and street-style dancing. Emphasis will be placed on isolations, co-ordination and musicality. Bring a Towel and water bottle!
Dress Code: Any colored tank top that is longer than the waist of the dance pants, black pants or capris and indoor runners, jazz sneakers or dance boots. Short belly baring tank tops are unacceptable.
This class is for the pre-school age child emphasising musicality, movement and drama. Two week blocks of class will repeat the same theme but with different activities.Emphasis will be put on patterns using percussion instruments and movement. The child will have an opportunity to explore and express themselves through dramatic activities.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, black dance pants or leggings, pink ballet slippers or pink gymnastic slippers.
Rhythm is at the heart of this discipline. Add speed and timing and you have one of the most entertaining dance disciplines enjoyed by all age groups. Examination classes available.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, beige tights and beige tap shoes with rubber grips. Dance shorts may also be worn over the body suit.
Jazz evolved from Ballet and Modern dance styles. Jazz classes include warm-up, stretches, and jump & turns. Jazz classes are most often choreographed with popular music as the driving force and are very popular with all age groups. Examination classes available.

In its early history, Modern was known as a free-form of dance without a base. It was a form of dance that lifted the restrictions from the ballet dancers. Today, Modern dance is recognized through its forms, base and techniques. It works on the premise of opposites, up-down, left-right, contraction and release, fall-recover. The student is taught to express emotion physically through dance.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, beige tights, footless or split sole tights. Half sole shoes, Foot Undies or bare feet.
This is a supplementary class for all dancers looking to increase their flexiblity, strength and stamina in order to successfully meet the needs placed on the progressing dancer. Exercises to improve technique and performance while keeping the physical needs of the young dancer in mind will be taught. All dancers should bring a towel and water bottle. Injury prevention and treatment will also be addressed.

Pointe is available to students with an extensive background in Ballet. Participation in Pointe class is by invitation only.

Students in this class will work on singing, dancing and acting. Using popular musicals and songs of our time, students will incorporate singing and lipsyncing with dance and acting skills. Students would benefit from attending either a jazz or tap class as well as Musical Theatre.

Lyrical combines the best of Ballet with the raw energy of Jazz and a dash of Modern. It is one of the most expressive forms of dance and a favourite among serious dancers.

A combination of gymnastics/ acrobatics and dance. Acro classes help to develop balance, agility, strength, and flexibility.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, beige footless tights, bare feet.
These classes will be an opportunity for young children to get active while discovering the world of movement and rhythm with a parent/guardian.
Dress Code: Shorts/track pants and a t-shirt, bare feet and hair off the face.
Combination class for either 1 or 1 1/2 hours learning Ballet, Jazz and Tap for beginners ages 3 to 5 years old.
Dress Code: Black tank body suit, pink tights, ballet slippers and tap shoes or a pair of hard soled party shoes without black soles.
Students will learn proper care of the voice and warm up technique. The basic elements of music including melody, rhythm, harmony, dynamics and tone will be introduced through song. Age appropriate songs will be learned. While singing, students will become aware of many aspects of vocal production including resonance, vowel sounds, vocal projection and proper breathing technique.
